I've never really thought about reviewing a taxi company, but Ellan Vannin (Chris and Carla) absolutely deserve it. They've been incredible. We found them online before a trip to the TT, which is obviously an extremely busy time anyway. The booking process for the airport trips was spot on. And then we used them for the whole week. They went above and beyond to get us places and pick us up around a week of road closures (because of the racing) and the weather. Honestly couldn't recommend them more. See you next year! We had the most wonderful experience with Chris from Ellan Vannin Taxis. On the final day of our trip, we had a few spare hours before our flight, so we asked Chris to pick us up from our hotel, take us on a short tour, and then drop us at the airport. We gave him the timeframe we had (about 2–3 hours) and asked him to design a tour for us. Chris took us around the south of the island to hidden gems and scenic spots we never would have thought to explore on our own. The views were awe-inspiring, we saw the Seals at the Sound, the smashing ocean and historic buildings in Castletown. Chris was the perfect tour guide - kind and funny with local stories sprinkled through the trip. The entire experience felt like a bonus adventure at the end of our TT trip.
